CHIEF MINISTER Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said that vested interests are spreading disinformation regarding works being done by Madhya Pradesh Government for rehabilitation of Sardar Sarovar Project affected families. This, he said, shows their total ignorance of the facts.

The State Government has accelerated process of rehabilitation in last two and half years, which had been quite slow in the preceding ten years, to ensure time-bound rehabilitation. Chouhan said that the State Government has accorded top priority to satisfactory rehabilitation of the project-affected families.

He called upon them to start their life afresh taking full benefit of the rehabilitation package. Chouhan said that the rehabilitation package offered to the Sardar Sarovar affected families in Madhya Pradesh is the most attractive in the country.

He assured the affected families that the State Government is committed to ensuring them their right to rehabilitation.
