CMPDC students happy with new principal

CHAUDHARI MAHADEV Prasad Degree College (CMPDC) students welcomed the appointment of the new principal and proctor in a meeting on Monday. The students congratulated the management committee and its head Chaudhari Jitendra Nath Singh for taking the appropriate decision.

The meeting was presided by ex president of CMPDC student union Sunil Kumar Dwivedi and conducted by Preeti Tripathi.

According to a press release issued by Tripathi, Dwivedi said that the management committee decision had saved the career of many students. He urged the new principal and the chief proctor to maintain discipline on the campus.

The members also went to meet AU V-C Prof RG Harshe and urged him to check the attempt to create disturbance by some students. The V-C assured them that he had no objection over the management committee’s decision.

Meanwhile, AU students under the leadership of Zia Kaunen Rizvi, Abhishek Shukla and Vijay Dwivedi gheraoed AU chief proctor Prof HN Mishra on Tuesday. The students demanded that Urdu, Arabic and Persian quota should be retained.
The students withdrew the gherao after the assurance by the chief proctor that their demands would be considered at a meeting with the chief proctor, dean student welfare and the registrar on April 20.
