Col Rajiv praises Indore NCC cadets, officers

INDORE GROUP NCC Commander Colonel Rajiv Kumar awarded the best cadets of the 9 M P Battalion NCC in a ceremony in ‘C’ certificate exam camp at Bicholi Mardana yesterday.

On the occasion Col Rajiv Kumar said that Indore NCC cadets and officers performed brilliantly in the recent Republic Day parade. Commanding Officer Colonel A K Shrivastav elaborated the achievements of the group.

He informed that senior Under Officer R S Rana won the late Jyoti Sharma trophy and medal. Cadet Abhishek Kumar Singh performed excellently at Rajpath, Delhi. Cadet Shaukat Hussain won the first prize for his performance as Guard of Honour. Under Officer Rekha Swami won gold medal in horse riding.

The 1 M P Air Squadron NCC cadets Ritesh Sharma and Himanshu Joshi obtained bronze medal in Remote Control Glider competition. The NCC Directorate of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh won the first prize in national integrity and awareness presentation due to the performance of cadets Manoj Sugandhi, Govind Sharma, Gunjan Malhotra and Balwan Singh.

NCC Directorate Deputy DG Brigadier Deepak Sood awarded Government Ahilyashram HS School NCC Officer Sunayna Sohni for her special contribution in parade preparations. Commanding Officers of all NCC units - Colonel Tyagi, Colonel S S Mankotia, Colonel M S Gupta, Lieutenant Colonel A K Khare, Colonel A S Gil, Lieutenant Colonel Gohil, Lieutenant Colonel R K Biyala, Lieutenant Colonel B Y Konur, Lieutenant Colonel M S J Jhala, Wing Commander Masand, Indore Group Training Officer Manjeet Singh, Administrative Officer Lieutenant Colonel V V Joshi and Major Prakash Kumar participated in the programme.
