Communities clash after youth?s death

Angry residents blocked the road at Kampoo square as the news of Mangal’s death spread. The Bajrang Dal activists allegedly came out in support of the Jatav family and ransacking houses and pelted stones on some settlement of minority community.

Tension gripped the area as members of the minority community retaliated with force. Police had to resort to mild lathi charge to disperse the mob. A woman, belonging to the minority community was also injured in the clash.

CSP Neeraj Pandey said that though the situation was under control, tension prevailed in the area. Additional force has been deployed in the area to prevent any untoward incident. Police have rounded up at least a dozen persons in this connection.

Cases against some persons have also been registered for their involvement in the three-day-old clash, Pandey said
