Complete preparations by December 15: Ujjwal Singh

UP ENVIRONMENT Minister Kunwar Ujjwal Raman Singh, while inspecting the preparations underway for the Ardh Kumbh Mela at the Sangam area here today, directed the officials that all work related to the Ardh Kumbh should be completed by December 15. Singh mostly reviewed the work in the trans-Ganga Jhunsi area. Singh expressed satisfaction over the work of Health and the Electricity Department, however, took to task the Jal Nigam and the PWD officials for their slow progress.

Singh mostly reviewed the work in the trans-Ganga Jhunsi area. Singh expressed satisfaction over the work of Health and the Electricity Department, however, took to task the Jal Nigam and the PWD officials for their slow progress.

He instructed the officials concerned to ensure fixing checker plates in the area within the next 48 hours and to complete the roadwork and besides, directed the officials that the laying of pipeline should also be completed immoderately.

He warned the officials of strict action, if laxity was found and told them that soon the Chief Secretary would also inspect the Mela area.

He also made it clear that poor quality of work especially in the construction of pontoon bridges would invite immediate action against the officials concerned.
