Criticising the state Governor NN Vohra, the BJP says the only way to defuse the situation is to concede the "genuine" demands of Shri Amarnath Sangarsh Samiti.
Criticising state Governor NN Vohra for converting the Jammu province into a cantonment, the BJP on Friday said the only way to defuse the situation is to concede the "genuine" demands of Shri Amarnath Sangarsh Samiti (SASS).

"It is a matter of grave concern that the Governor instead of taking on and crushing anti-India elements in Kashmir is planning to induct more army in the province and also use helicopters with view to crushing the ongoing mass struggle," the BJP pradesh president Ashok Khajuria told reporters in Jammu.
He said the policy of senseless brutalities against the peaceful demonstrators across the province would further aggravate the situation as the people are determined to achieve what they hold very dear.
The continuation of Vohra as the state Governor is only complicating the situation and the Centre should remove him forthwith from the post to help create congenial atmosphere in Jammu, Khajuria said.
Demanding lifting of curfew and curbs on the movement of people, the Pradesh BJP Chief said: "The only way to defuse the situation is to accede to the genuine demands of SASS, spearheading the agitation."
