BJP today said the Congress decision to field former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi from Mahasamund reflected the "desperate situation" the main opposition party was in.

"The Congress decision to give the party ticket to a person charged with attempting to bribe MLAs shows the desperate situation the party finds itself in where it does not want to play morality and value-based politics," party spokesman and Union Law Minister Arun Jaitley told reporters here when asked about the Congress decision.
