"During the BJP national convention, which concluded recently in Mumbai, Advani said that the Congress corrupted the BJP and the latter should protect itself from Congress culture, else people will say that the BJP had undergone Congressisation," Yadav said in a release issued in Bhopal.

Pointing out that portions of Advani's speech were published in several newspapers and aired on electronic media, the Congress leader added his party workers felt insulted and perturbed.

The notice accused Advani of levelling baseless allegations against the Congress and party president Sonia Gandhi.

"The truth is that several BJP leaders are hemmed in by corruption allegations but Advani avoided referring to that fact during the convention," the statement added.
