Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee President Girija Vyas on Tuesday expressed confidence that the party would win an absolute majority in Himachal Pradesh Assembly polls to be held on Wednesday.
"People of Himachal Pradesh, disillusioned with the BJP Government, were overwhelmingly supporting the Congress which was fighting the polls on issues of development and corruption-free governance," Vyas said in a statement on her return here after campaigning in the state.
Vyas is the party's campaign incharge for 16 Assembly constituencies in two Himachal districts - Chamba and Kangada where, she said the Congress workers were exuding confidence of a thumping victory.
