"Congress is going to join the ministry. We have conveyed our best wishes from our party chief Sonia Gandhi to Mamata Banerjee," AICC observer in-charge of West Bengal Shakeel Ahmed said after a Congress legislative party (CLP) meeting took the decision of participating in the ministry.

Ahmed, flanked by defence minister AK Anthony at the CLP meeting, said names of Congress ministers had been communicated to the Trinamool Congress supremo but did not disclose them.

He said there was also a special gift from Gandhi which was handed over to the Trinamool chief.
