Kelapur court had issued summon to Sherawat asking her to appear before the court on June 8 following a case against her filed by a local NGO Jan Sevak Seva Samiti under section 292 (2), for obscenity.
However, her counsel had filed an application on June 8 saying that the actress will appear on the next date which was fixed as July 15 by the court.
On Wednesday, when Sherawat did not turn up till 5 pm, the NGO's counsel requested the court to issue NBW against her, which the court rejected saying the respondent has not received the first summon issued to her.
The court has now asked Sherawat to appear before the court in person on July 24.
