Creative treat at Culrav-2k6 on Day 1
THE FIRST day of Culrav-2k66- the annual cultural festival of MNNIT lived up to its promise of a visual and creative treat.
It began with the students portraying their skills in the English and Hindi debates (Sambodhan). Their ideas were thought-provoking and often delved into deeper subjects like the indomitable human spirit and the quest for perfection.
The popular Just a Minute (JAM) competitions were also held that tested the wit of the participants, who came up with a scintillating show.
Another event, the Hindi Turncoat required the students to reverse their stand on a debatable issue after a minute of speech. The winners of the event were Ramendra Pandey (Ist prize) and Ankesh Jain (2nd prize) from 3rd Year.All the literary events saw a very healthy participation.
“Man expresses himself through various means”. So after the literary events, it was time for an Antakshari- the evergreen game which provided light-hearted entertainment to everyone present.
The dramatics were truly mesmerizing to watch. The Khula Manch provided the actors a platform to express their creativity. The day also witnessed the most popular form of entertainment since time immemorial the Nukkad Drama.The expressive performances were appreciated with thunderous applause not only for their humour but also for the subtle social messages that were interwoven in them.
After dramatic and literary ventures, the techno-persons displayed
variety in eye-catching attires in “Spandan”- the fashion show.The night reached its zenith with Western Group Dance.
Day two of Culrav will unfold Hindi debate, Hindi duet, western solo, Khula Manch, Kavya Sandhya, final years’ night, wild thoughts, prem patra lekhan, tongue twister and motley English extempore.
