Crime branch seeks Bhatia custody

A team from the Mumbai crime branch left for Goa to get the custody of Paresh Bhatia, a bookie arrested by the Goa police recently. According to sources, Bhatia's name cropped up during the interrogation of the other accused arrested in the case so far.

In another development, two bookies Pravin Behra alias PD and Pankaj Shah who had been arrested by the crime branch for betting were granted bail by the esplanade court on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the content found written in Malayalam in cricketer Sreesanth's diary turned out to be nothing more than prayers and verses that he had written.

The police took help from a translator to decipher the contents.
