A TWO-DAY cultural programme was organised to celebrate Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) Day at Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE), Mhow recently.
Various competitions including drawing and painting competitions for children and dance and musical performance by Little Wonders Group from Indore were organised on the occasion. The competitions were held at Mercury School, MCTE for children of different age groups and winners of the competition were felicitated by MCTE Commandant Lt Gen SP Sreekumar.
AWWA, which has its office in MCTE, conducts vocational training programme in tailoring, embroidery, paper bag making and
other programme for families and wives of army officers that are being sold at AWWA outlets.
Workshop for Army officers concludes
A WORKSHOP organised at the Som Hall of Infantry School, Mhow concluded on Thursday. Speaking at the closing ceremony Infantry School Commandant Lt Gen Satyevir Yadav complemented all the officers for their active and wholehearted participation in the event. He affirmed that the workshop was a new beginning, which would certainly go to transform a raw and unshaped young officer into a confident, happy and a thoroughly professional colleague.
The aspects that were discussed in this first of its kind workshop were evaluation of present system of grooming, impact of changing paradigms of modern warfare on grooming of army officers, impact of societal changes in the modern world, role of existing institutions and a methodology for implementations of the changes accruing out of discussions on major issues to
