Cutting down water footprint

As part of the London Design Festival, which ended last week, Wonderwater Cafe, a project exploring the relationship between food and water consumption, opened a pop up cafe in London following an exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Helsinki.

As part of the London Design Festival, which ended last week, Wonderwater Cafe, a project exploring the relationship between food and water consumption, opened a pop up cafe in London following an exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Helsinki.

The cafe raised awareness of our water footprint and the impact on what we eat on local and global water use. The menu illustrates how much water it takes to produce our foods by breaking down the water footprint of the dishes and drinks on offer. Restaurant goers were able to choose from low, medium or high water footprint.
