Dalai Lama leaves for US, Latin America
He is scheduled to visit Florida in the US, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala and Mexico.
The Dalai Lama left Dharamshala on Thursday for a six-nation visit. He will go to the US and Latin America.

The Dalai Lama last visited Miami in 1999, when he received an honorary doctorate in divinity from Florida International University.
During his visit September 19-22, he will give lectures at the Florida International University and University of Miami as well as several teaching sessions hosted by Osel Dorje Nyingpo.
Sources in the central Tibetan administration Dharamshala said the Dalai Lama will give a talk on universal responsibility during his visit to Puerto Rico September 24 and teach techniques to train the mind the following day.
From September 26, the Dalai Lama will be in Costa Rica for three days during which he is scheduled to speak at two public events. He will then head for El Salvador where two lectures -- on "Introduction to Buddhism" and "Outer Peace Through Inner Peace" -- have been scheduled for September 29.
On October 2, the Dalai Lama will be in Guatemala where he will discuss Buddhist teaching and talk about "The Power of Compassion".
The last leg of his tour to the Americas will take him to Mexico, where the Dalai Lama will spend five days from Oct 3 teaching mind training techniques.
