THE CITY police on Sunday nabbed six persons, who were wanted in connection with a murder committed in Datia on September 14.
One of the accused, Dinesh, who had been injured while trying to flee the spot of crime was undergoing treatment at a private hospital here and was arrested on Sunday following a tip-off. The Datia police had announced reward on the accused heads.
The murder of Chandraprakash Yadav in the market had sent shockwaves in Datia. The Koh-e-Fiza police were tipped off about the accused being treated in a hospital. The main accused, Dinesh Giri, had fallen off the third floor of the building and had his leg fractured.
His father Lakhan Giri, another accused, was also caught. Four other accused who were with him in the hospital attempted to escape on seeing the police but were chased and nabbed. With today’s arrests all the accused in the case have been arrested.
The other accused were Santosh Giri, Mangal Pal, Jaipal and Brajbhushan Pathak. The Datia police had announced cash reward of Rs 5,000 each on Santosh and Mangal while a reward of Rs 2,000 was announced on Jaipal.
All the accused are history sheeters, police said.The accused are being interrogated and a police team would later take them to Datia.
