"The meeting will not take place on Friday, but will resume at 10:00 am on Saturday," the spokesman said. He did not give a reason for the delay.

The International Atomic Energy Agency's 35-nation Board of Governors was supposed to take the decision in a meeting in Vienna on Thursday, which was postponed till 7 pm on Friday.

Later on, the meeting was delayed by a further two hours, after being postponed for the next day.

Demands by some non-aligned countries to include mention of a Middle East nuclear-weapons-free zone in the IAEA resolution on Iran are complicating talks on sending the Iran issue to the UN Security Council, diplomats said on Friday.

"Once this is in the hands of the Security Council, things will be entirely different. The Security Council has already made a statement on the nuclear-weapons-free zone," a diplomat said.
