"Thakur sustained an acute pain immediately after India's hockey match against New Zealand. As such, Thakur was admitted in the ICU of Adkaipioo Voulaj Hospital for investigation and treatment of the chest pain", Sharma said in a statement.
"Repeated electrocardiogram have shown no abnormality in the ECG tracings. Repeated cardiac enzyme studies are normal. The echocardiograph is also normal," he said.
Thakur has been shifted out of the Intensive Care Unit of the Games Village village hospital but will be under observation for another 72 hours.
