
Delhi constable’s kin attacked; 2 dead
Two members of a family of a Delhi Police constable were brutally murdered and his son seriously injured in Modinagar area. The child is seriously injured and has suffered skull-fractures and broken-teeth and is battling for life at a private hospital at Ghaziabad, said an official.
The incident happened in Nandnagri area of Modinagar when Anil Yadav, a constable with the Delhi-Police was on duty while his wife, Pramod Yadav (30), father-in-law, Retd. Captain Jai Prakash Yadav (80) and son Rishabh (11) were sleeping at their residence, a family member revealed.
At night Pramod and Jaiprakash Yadav were brutally murdered by unidentified men and Rishabh was left on the pretext of being dead after being beaten up. The assailants used kitchen utensils and bricks to smash the victims and the child. The entire house was found ransacked in the morning. “The incident probably happened in the early hours of morning. It seems that the idea was to commit robbery. The bodies have been found in a bad state. It seems that they have been smashed by heavy material like rods and bricks,” said one of the relatives of the family.
SSP, Deepak Ratan, SP (Rural) Jagdish Kumar reached the spot and sealed the entire house. Finger-prints, evidences and other important material have been taken into possession. Sniffer-Dogs were also called for finding any clues.
The officials don’t deny the hand of a family member to be involved in the twin-murders. A case has been registered and the two bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
