In an application moved through counsel Jasbir Malik, the Delhi Pradesh Citizens' Council termed the master plan as "ultravires and violative of fundamental rights of citizens" and urged the apex court to quash it.
Questioning the notification, the petitioner alleged that the government rushed through the master plan to appease the voters and negate the court's directions to seal the commercial establishments operating out of residential premises in various parts of the national capital.
