The demolition of the Lalbaug flyover may be put off till April in view of the HSC and SSC exams, which will be conducted in February and March.

The MMRDA had received letters from various bodies asking postponement of the demolition which was to take place at the end of February. The bodies had requested MMRDA to postpone the demolition, as it would cause inconvenience to the numerous students who studied in schools in that area during exam time.
MMRDA officials have said that they are considering the request and a final decision will be taken soon.
