Dismissing the petition high court judge Ranjit Singh, however, granted liberty to the Dera chief to raise all the issues before the trial court.

During arguments before Special Judge at Ambala, the CBI had produced the statements of several Dera sadhvis (women disciples), who had alleged that the sect chief had sexually exploited them.
