The hit TV show Desperate Housewives is set to have a massive cast cut at the end of season two, says actor James Denton.

According to Contactmusic, Denton, who plays the plumber Mike Delfino, says that many of the show's major characters including himself have been getting less exposure to accommodate new faces but this is about to get fixed.

He says, "You're watching the second season and Mike doesn't have much to do. But I just got the main storyline for season three and I'm pleased that Mike features more prominently."

"Our cast grew too much this year and some of the characters got lost in the shuffle. But we'll be losing a handful of actors at the end of this series and I don't think they're going to be replaced," he added.
