According to sources, dues worth Rs 3356 crore are pending against the erstwhile DESU, which needs to be paid off.

"Since DESU was under the Central government, we have sought their intervention in settling the issue. They have agreed to look into the matter and have asked us to submit a proposal," said a senior government officer.

The meeting was reportedly attended by Delhi power minister Haroon Yusuf, principal power secretary Shakti Sinha and other senior officers.
