He was speaking at the inaugural function of cerebral palsy check-up camp organised by Samvedna, a trust for children with disability.
Amrit Abhijat said the government is running different programmes for the education, treatment and rehabilitation of disabled children.
Private agencies can play an important role in making these programmes accessible to these special children. Any such effort made by a private agency or NGO will be fully supported by the district administration, he said.
Paediatrician Dr VK Agarwal released the logo of Samvedna Trust. Dr AN Verma of MLN Medical College launched the trust’s website.
Samvedna president Dr Jaiwardhan Rai delivered the welcome address. Dr Jitendra Kumar Jain briefed about the different activities of the trust. Dr Anamika Rai proposed the vote of thanks. Also present on the occasion were Dr DP Dhureja and Dr Mansoor Alam.
Shot at: Aftab Khan (28) son of Jumman, resident of Handia was admitted to the SRN Hospital after he received bullet injury on Monday morning. He was admitted to the SRN Hospital where his condition was stated to be critical.
He was allegedly shot at by his cousins.
