At present, all courts dealing with civil matters are closed. No case of a civil nature can be filed, nor can any old civil case be heard. One cannot even get a copy of the order passed by the civil court before the vacation.

Many lawyers who have started coming to the District Court say that since the court is going to re-open shortly, they have decided to prepare themselves in advance. Others say that since they have cases relating to criminal matters, they come to the court to get these disposed of.

During summer vacation at the District Court, the courts dealing with civil matters are closed.

However, the courts dealing with criminal matters continue to function as usual. During summer vacation, the judicial officers dealing with civil matter are assigned criminal matters for adjudication.
