The unseeded Indian pair put up a brave fight but could not overcome the challenge of seventh seed Alex Kuznetsov of USA and Mihail Zverev of Germany and lost 6-7 (5/7) 4-6 in the semi finals.
Liberhan and Sharan had upset second seed Korean pair of Woong-Sun Jun and Sun-Yong Jr. Kim 6-3 7-6 (7/5) in the second round and then got the better of Phillip Simmonds of USA and South African Fritz Wolmarans 6-4 6-2 in the quarterfinals.
