DM lauds Civil Defence role

District Magistrate praised the services of the Civil Defence and said the volunteers were always ready to extend a helping hand during natural calamities and big events. He also informed that he had already sent a letter to the PM’s office with the request of felicitating the Civil Defence Corps for their invaluable contributions.

Chief guest director CV Rai said, “Our responsibilities had increased with the increase in militant activities. He also gave volunteers the suggestion of maintaining a ‘house of register’ of their particular area and also appoint at least one person who could inform them about the current happenings in that area.

Chief warden urged the DM to ensure establishment of a separate office for the functioning of all the wings of the Civil Defence.

Former Cabinet Minister Pushpraj Singh suggested that the city should be declared as the role model for others in this field. Chief warden Anil Kumar welcomed the guests and highlighted the various activities of the Civil Defence.

Other speakers were Dr Rama Singh, Dr Usha Mishra, Rani Mishra, Dr Ila Malviya, Nasir Zaidi, and Sardar Ajeet Singh.
