DM?s directive to review GNN budget

DISTRICT MAGISTRATE and administration of Gorakhpur Nagar Nigam (GNN) Dr Hariom has directed the subordinate officials to review the proposed budget of the corporation of Rs 55 crore.

DISTRICT MAGISTRATE and administration of Gorakhpur Nagar Nigam (GNN) Dr Hariom has directed the subordinate officials to review the proposed budget of the corporation of Rs 55 crore. In the first meeting of GNN officials after completing the term of board, the district magistrate who is also the administrator of the corporation, expressed his displeasure over outstanding payment of around Rs 1 crore against house tax and water tax at the Chief Development Officer building.The DM directed the officials to review the proposal of sanitation work of outer wards by private companies. He expressed his displeasure over the poor sanitation condition and condemned the Jal Kal employees for not carrying out chlorination before supplying water.

Dr Hariom directed the subordinates to draw a proposal of drinking water supply and drainage system keeping the requirement of the people of in mind for the next 50 years. The accounts officer gave the details about the budget proposal.
