Do people of J&K have faith in Election Commission?

Will J&K elections achieve anything?: There is a sense of realism with which we need to approach such complex issues and it does not take a rocket scientist to know that India would never conduct a plebiscite at any stage, although the results of such an exercise would shock the wits out of Pakistan. Elections are a way to reassure the Kashmiris that they can choose their representatives in a way rest of India does, says Rajiv, Chennai

J&K Election Commissioner, BB Tandon: The elections in J&K were very fair and no interference was allowed. There were hardly any complaints and people have demonstrated their confidence in the Election Commission. We hope the last phase passes off peacefully.   Abdul Ghani Bhat, APHC chairman: We won't commit any offence. But if stopping anybody from casting vote is an offence, forcing them to vote against their will, too, is a crime. We will not enforce our decision of non-participation in the polls on voters.
