In a case of sheer negligence, a 30-year-old lady bled to death after two doctors punctured her uterus while the woman was undergoing an abortion surgery. The incident took place at a south Delhi nursing home in the capital recently.

While the doctors at the 'nursing home' claim the death as natural; forensic experts, who conducted an autopsy on the body of Sushmita (the patient), have stated that the quacks, who conducted the abortion damaged the patient's womb resulting in excessive bleeding that subsequently led to her death.

Delhi police has registered a case a culpable homicide against Raizudin, a self styled chief medical practitioner and Shabana, who were involved in the operation.

Sushmita, a resident of Jasola, was four months pregnant. She was taken to Aysha Nursing home in Abu Fazal enclave after she complained of stomach pain.

After examining Sushmita, the doctors told her husband, Manoj, that they would have to abort the baby as soon as possible.

But, the operation turned out to be a disaster as both the doctors were quacks. They had no knowledge of what they were doing.

However, the autopsy report has confirmed that the woman died as a result of negligence on the part of doctors. Cops are taking action against the quacks.
