He was speaking at a function on the occasion of the release of Chandramouli Kanvi's "Karnatakada Kanmani-Rahul Dravid", Kannada translation of a biography of the cricketer, penned by journalist Vedam Jayashankar.

Cricketer B K Venkatesh Prasad recalled that Dravid had to cross many hurdles before he attained his present position as one of the top batsmen in the world.
