The Election Commission is likely to take a decision this week on the demand for countermanding the election in Chapra Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar, where BJP and other parties have alleged largescale rigging by RJD candidate Laloo Prasad Yadav.

The two-member team comprising Adviser KJ Rao and Principal Secretary Ananth Kumar, was on a two-day fact finding mission to the constituency, returned on Monday and is likely to submit its report in two to three days, EC sources said.
Rao will be in Anantnag constituency in J&K on Tuesday and the report would be made only after his return on May 6, sources said.
The full Commission would review tomorrow the poll preparations in those states going to polls on May five, the sources said.
Union Civil Aviation Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy, who faces Yadav, and his party BJP have demanded repoll in the entire constituency alleging largescle rigging and violence allegedly by supporters of Yadav.
While Yadav had denied any irregularities and violence by his supporters on the polling day on April 26, the BSP and SP yesterday joined BJP in demanding countermanding of the election in constituency.
