Eight injured as mini truck turns turtle

Eight persons sustained injuries when the Tata 407 mini truck they were travelling in turned turtle at the Gurgaon Expressway near Jharsa village on Saturday evening.

The incident took place when the mini truck's rear tyre burst and the driver lost control. According to the police, five children, two women and one man received minor injuries.

They were rushed to the hospital. The mini truck driver is absconding after the incident, the police said. According to a victim, they were returning from a family function from Rajasthan when the accident took place.

Traffic at the expressway was also affected for more than a hour, said a police official.
