Eight students hospitalised after consuming milk in BMC school

Eight students studying in a civic-run school in Ghatkopar were hospitalised today due to health problems after consuming milk served to them, civic officials said.

"Eight students studying in a civic-run school in Ghatkopar were hospitalised on Friday due to health problems after consuming milk served to them," civic officials said.

"The students of 7th standard in Sainath Nagar corporation school complained of vomiting and stomach upset this afternoon after consuming milk served to them in the school by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)," the officials said.

"The students were rushed to nearby Rajawadi Hospital," the officials said and added, "BMC would probe and take action against the contractor if it found that the milk was unfit for consumption."
