What is mulled wine?

Mulled wine is a traditional European drink, usually made with red wine, which is combined with spices and served warm. Served during the harsh winter of Europe, it is also associated with the festive season of Christmas and Halloween. In Sweden, it is called Glogg, Vin Chaud in France, and Glühwein in Germany. Even the ingredients vary accordingly. Some of the common spices included in mulled wine include cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and vanilla.
