The retired Judge who met Mahant Gyandas, the chief of the Akhara Parishad, on Sunday left Ayodhya later in the day after his settlement formulae failed to make much sense to both the parties involved in temple case.

Gyan Das during his meeting with the retired judge made it clear that there was no question of compromising on the issue of a construction of grand temple in Ayodhya. Hashim Ansari, the original plaintiff in the Babri title suit too rejected the ex-judge's efforts to reach a compromise, saying that all these peace moves were nothing more than a gimmick by the UPA government.
