Exhibition on judicial history to open today

AN EXHIBITION of rare collection of exhibits relating to introduction of judicial system (1936) in this part of country will be thrown open for invitees tomorrow after its inauguration by MP High Court Chief Justice AK Patnaik.

AN EXHIBITION of rare collection of exhibits relating to introduction of judicial system (1936) in this part of country will be thrown open for invitees tomorrow after its inauguration by MP High Court Chief Justice AK Patnaik.

It comprises judgment copies of Mangal Pandey's death warrant and Subhash Chandra Bose's jail warrant among other fascinating records. Justice AK Patnaik on Friday inaugurated copying section in the magnificent building premises of the high court bench as part of its modernisation plan.

On this occasion Patnaik was accompanied by justice Deepak Misra, justice SS Jha, justice AK Gohil, justice Subhash Samvatsar, justice Rajendra Menon, justice Akhil Shrivastava, justice PK Jaiswal, justice Sheela Khanna, justice BM Gupta, justice AP Shrivastava, registrar general SC Sinho, registrar AK Mishra and others.

Following implementation of office automation plan, scope of procedural delays would be reduced drastically. Besides the new system of filling and copying now in place will also facilitate internal process of handling at various stages.

Earlier, Patanik had inaugurated filling section in the same building premises.
