After years of deliberations, the Haryana government had planned to set up a solid waste management facility on the Gurgaon-Faridabad border. However, the plant is long overdue.

First, the plant was to be set up by HUDA. Later, Municipal Corporation of Faridabad was entrusted with the task. MCF is now constructing the facility for both Gurgaon and Faridabad.

“However, the garbage is dumped near DLF City and residents are still plagued by the stench, especially when the wind blows over the garbage dump,” said RS Rathee, president of DLF QERWA.
