According to senior professor and in charge of the Metrological Department at the Chandra Shekhar Azad Agriculture Technology University (CSA) Dr DC Keim, the monsoon has become very active throughout the State and there was every possibility of heavy rain soon.
Dr Keim has advised the farmers to sow the crops, which required good amount of water. According to him hybrid seeds of crops would prove beneficial to growers. However, he warned against water-borne diseases of plants.
He added that due to cyclonic disturbances, the monsoon got delayed by 12 days. Now it is hoped that the State would have normal rainfall but some its parts may have excess downpour leading to flood-like situations.
