THE INDORE Development Authority today urged Principal Secretary (Urban Administration Department) P D Meena to assist in changing land use for Scheme No 151 and the tract on either side of MR-10 from agricultural to residential.
IDA Chairman Madhu Verma is learnt to have told Meena that the land use change was already mooted in the master plan and a governmental nod for the proposal would provide a fillip to housing activity.
The plea came at a meeting held by the Principal Secretary with Indore Municipal Corporation and IDA officials at Sayaji Hotel late this evening to review developmental tasks.
Mayor Dr Uma Shashi Sharma, IDA Chairman Madhu Verma, CEO C B Singh and Municipal Commissioner Vinod Sharma were among those present on the occasion.
Meena urged the officials to ensure speedy implementation of developmental works, especially projects like the Bond Road Scheme and the Rs 325 crore sewerage master plan and other projects to be funded by Centre-aided schemes like Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission. The Principal Secretary assured that the State Government would provide all assistance for the City’s development.
Earlier, Mayor Dr Uma Shashi Sharma submitted details of the pre-monsoon nullah cleaning campaign, garden beautification programme and other civic development works being carried out by the Corporation.
