Experts to dwell on GenNext communication system

JK INSTITUTE of Applied Physics and Technology, on the completion of 50 years of its existence, has organised an International conference on 'Next Generation Communication Systems' and its international alumni meet at SN Ghosh Auditorium from December 9-11.
The international conference on next generation communication, which is being organized jointly by JK Alumni Association and the Society of Electronics Engineers would be attended by experts and technologists from across the globe.
"This international conference, aimed at stimulating a highly interactive environment, will provide a forum to exchange ideas and techniques. It is also aimed at discussing best practices and challenging issues to raise awareness and share experiences among practitioners, standard developers and policy makers in the field of next generation fibre optics, internet and IP based services, security issues, fourth generation wireless mobile networks, MIMO and Satellite communication," said co-convener of the conference Prof Rajeev Tripathi of the Department of Electronics and Communication, MNNIT.
This interaction may lead to collaboration among multi-national participants from industries, government and academic sectors," he added.
Convener of conference, Prof Nar Singh said that experts and scientists from all over the world would present 50 research papers screened and selected by a panel of eminent reviewers.
There would be six technical sessions on topics like communication-II, mobile communication, wireless network, routing switching architecture and security-I, security two and optical communication.
Prof Singh said that Prof Borhanunddin Mohammad Ali of UPM University, Malaysia, would be chief guest while Dr Shamim Ahmad, Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard University and GP Srivastava, director, Babha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai (both alumnus) would be guests of honour in the inaugural session to be held at 9.30 am.
Vice chancellor of Allahabad University will preside over the inaugural session while GM CORE, R Mohandoss will deliver the keynote address.
The institute would also hold an international alumni meet on the sidelines of the conference.
"It is an attempt to send a message to JK Institute Alumni Diaspora spread across the globe, that institute still remembers them and recognises their achievements accomplished in their respective fields. The institute also aims to seek their cooperation and suggestions for making the institute at par with world level institutions," said Prof Nar Singh.
He said that a panel discussion which would be attended by eminent experts and engineers like Buddha Prakash, general manager of the North Central RAilway (NCR), Prof Borhanuddin Mohd.Ali, UPM University, Malayasia, Prof AB Samaddar, Director, MNNIT and R Mohandoss , GM CORE, would also be held on the concluding day of the conference on December 11.
Union Minster of State for Communication and Information Technology Dr Shakeel Ahmad would also attend the special session organised on December 10 as chief guest. The Minister would release a souvenir and would preside over the technical session on day 2 of the meet. After the deliberation session, a grand cultural programme too has been planned for the alumni expected to descend here from all over the world.
