Family Dispute Redressal Centre resolves two cases

THE FAMILY Dispute Redressal Centre resolved the disputes between two couples under the National Legal Literacy Week recently. District Legal Aid Officer Shivlaxmi Upmanyu informed that two of 1 cases presented before the Centre were redressed in the meeting.

THE FAMILY Dispute Redressal Centre resolved the disputes between two couples under the National Legal Literacy Week recently. District Legal Aid Officer Shivlaxmi Upmanyu informed that two of 1 cases presented before the Centre were redressed in the meeting. Additional Collector Ramesh Bhandari and advocate Sanjay Mehra were present in the meeting.

Chandabai of Bapu Gandhi Nagar Indore filed the first case against her husband Sukhlal in 2005. She informed that her husband had turned her out of home in January 2005 after 10 years of marriage. Panel advocate Rama Mishra pleaded the case and the dispute was resolved to reunite the couple.

The second case was that of Mamta Narvaria of Bhagirathpura Indore against her husband Govind Narvaria who tortured her for dowry. Mamta had filed a criminal case of dowry against Govind.

After the efforts made by Redressal Centre officials the couple decided to call off the marriage. Govind was ordered to pay Rs 1.35 lakh to Mamta for her livelihood.

He also admitted to return her jewellery. The applicants did not have to pay any fee to the advocates or court.
