Faria Alam returns to ramp
Alam is using the launch of new Marshall Ward catalogue as a way to get back into fashion industry.
She is back as the star attraction in a back street nightclub in Leeds, where she is seen on the catwalk in reportedly cheap clothes. Faria Alam had faded after she hit the headlines in August with her "confessions" of an affair with England Football coach Sven Eriksson and claims of innovating a special cold and hot treatment.

She went into low-key existence and many believed she was mortified at her private life splashed over front pages world over. But now she has re-emerged, and to the strains of Heather Small's song "Proud" she sashays down the catwalk and removes her coat with a flourish.
She was discovered in Leeds by Mail, which said the "audience is bemused" and some make crude comments, despite a rather well-crafted press release which describes her as "a celebrity" and says she is "a former FA secretary". The crowd reportedly are not quite deferential. Most refer to her as "That woman, who s*****d Sven".
She looks pale and drawn, not something very nice about one who is pushing 38. She admitted: "I sold my soul (she reportedly got over £300,000 for telling her story)." Apparently, she realises that kiss and tell stories are lucrative proposition in the short-term but they are no guarantee of a long-term income.
She admits: "I shouldn't have done it. At the time, I didn't think I had a choice. I was going to lose my job. I thought telling my side of the story could make things better. But it didn't. Now the whole world thinks I am a slut and a whore. I walk into a room and I can see them looking, judging, 'You know who she is? She's the girl who slept with Sven." She realises that she will have to cope with this all her life.
Asked why she chose as a comeback at the launch of the new Marshall Ward catalogue, which is not considered a very notable event by fashion designers, Faria told the daily: "Well, what would you suggest. What else am I going to make an income from? Reality TV! Pur-lease."
She has realised she cannot get a PA job again. "Who will want me in their office? I used to be a model so when this came up, I thought why not". She is using the present show as a way to get back into the fashion industry. "I love modelling. That might be a steppingstone to better things."
Faria was away to the US to tend on her mother who suffered a severe heart attack. The mother feels very humiliated and for which Faria told Mail, she is very repentant. The mother's remark "who would marry you," haunts her. "In the end she (mother) said she would forgive me, and God might forgive me, but not the society we come from. They are the judge, the jury and the executioner."
She said her friends advise her to forget Sven and move on. "But where do I move on to? From where I am standing it looks as though I'm going to be single for the rest of my life."
