Faridabad: Engineer kills wife for dowry

An engineer allegedly killed his wife in Faribabad on Sunday and informed the police about the incident on Sunday. The police registered a case of dowry death and arrested him today. Prabhu Razdan reports.

An engineer allegedly killed his wife in Faribabad on Sunday and informed the police about the incident on Sunday. The police registered a case of dowry death and arrested him on Monday.

The accused, Nar Singh of Parvartiya colony, married Shiksha of Sarita Vihar, about five years ago, police said.

The couple had two small children, police said, adding, they received a call from the accused that he had killed his wife on Sunday after hitting her on the head with an iron rod.

The accused, police said, had even called the police control room but there was no response.

“We arrested him after registering a case under section 304B of IPC,” SHO Saran police station Mohinder Kumar said.
