Faridabad: Slapped by landlady, 11-year-old boy commits suicide

An eleven-year old boy allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling fan of his house in Parvatia Colony in Faridabad district, police said on Sunday.

An eleven-year old boy allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling fan of his house in Parvatia Colony in Faridabad district, police said on Sunday.

Police said the boy named Yash took the extreme step on Saturday when he was alone at home and his family was out for some work.

When they returned, they found the room locked from inside.

The family lived in rented house and daughter of the landlady informed that Yash was slapped by her mother after which he locked himself in the room, police said.

Father of the boy filed a complaint with police accusing the landlady of provoking the boy to commit suicide, they said, adding, a case was registered under section relevant sections of IPC and further investigations are on.
