A case has been registered under the MP Prohibition of Slaughter of Cow-progeny Act, but none of the accused had been arrested till late Friday. The Shivpuri police have launched a hunt to catch the absconding trio.

Police said that Singh began hitting the bulls after he saw the damage to his crops. As the trio continued raining blows on the animals with sticks, the bulls fell unconscious and they then hung them from a tree.
