Farmers enthusiastic to Cong rally

THE FARMERS and people were enthusiastic about the proposed rally cum massive kisan sammelan scheduled to take place in Aron on December 6. Member of Parliament Jyotiraditya Scindia is scheduled to address the rally.

The Congress leaders, after touring rural areas in Aron, said here the farmers are worried because they were not getting adequate electricity for irrigation. They believed in the Bharatiya Janata Party promises in the last Vidhan Sabha election but now they felt cheated.

They said no change was witnessed in rural areas except from ‘Panch-ja’ it was changed to Gokul Gram and now to Nirmal Gram, the leaders added. The government’s lack of interest towards farmers’ grievances was also causing concern among the farmers.

The farmers are hopeful that their problems will be taken up at the right forum and resolved soon, they added. The leaders who visited rural areas in Aron to gather support for rally cum convention are Meharban Singh Dhakar, Deshraj Kailasia and Iftekhar Hussain.

Former Guna Congress president Yogendra Kumar, Guna Municipality president Devendra Gupta, district panchayat vice-president, Rakshit Singh, Mohan Rajak and Kailash Dhakar have appealed people to participate in the farmers’ convention in large numbers.
