Announcing this at a press conference in Nagpur, state BJP chief Nitin Gadkari said the protest will start at 10 am on August nine.

Singh will be accompanied by senior party leader Gopinath Munde, Bhausaheb Phundkar, the Leader of Opposition in the state legislative council, Gadkari and other state leaders.

Singh, who had led a rally here on July 15 to the rise in prices of essential commodities, will now lead his party's protest against the failure of the state and Central governments to prevent suicides by farmers, Gadkari said.

Even after the announcement of a special package of Rs 3,750 crore by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during his visit to the Vidarbha region on June 30, as many as 65 farmers had ended their lives since their problems had not been addressed, Gadkari claimed.
